My coupon note

With my first coupon class only a couple days away I decided to edit and share a note that I had posted on facebook a few months back for all of my friends. Please make sure you check in next week as I will post a lot of great resources, questions and answers from the class!

First off the secret to being a great couponer is spread the love and share the knowledge so be sure to pass it all on!

To get all the great deals like me you have to subscribe to all the great blogs like www.thekrazycouponlady.com, www.moneysavingmom.com and www.forthemommas.com they post links to great printables and where to use them to get the best price. The Krazy Coupon Lady has a beginner section that really is a must read she explains how to get the most out of using coupons. Sometimes I get the best deal sometimes I don't the trick is to not let it bother you. Manufacturers will often post coupons on there web sites too. Sometimes I buy coupons from www.thecouponmaster.com when they have really good ones.

Swap with friends and grab a Sunday paper if you want to spend the money. I currently do not use the Sunday paper but plan to really soon since I was able to get a great deal from our local paper for the class. Web sites like swagbucks (I have a link just scroll down!) and www.coupons.com have printable coupons and often times the store you shop in will have coupons hanging below items in the isle if you see one for a product you use grab a couple. Watch for circulars with coupons in them and get on the mailing list for all of your favorite manufacturers.

Target is a great place to get deals if you have a coupon for an item that they have and a matching Target coupon you can use both coupons. Rite Aid currently has a similar coupon policy that will allow you to stack your store and manufacturer coupons along with your register rewards. Both Target.com and Walmart.com along with several pharmacies such as Walgreens and Rite Aid have a printable coupons section so check it out before your next trip.

If you want to get really serious about couponing print out your stores coupon policy to carry with you. Most checkers really have no clue what the stores policy is and a manager will fight you on it if you do not have a copy to reference.Couponing is a great way to save money buying products that you know your family will use and a way to help others by donating the things you do not need. It should be fun! Now get out there and find yourself some deals!!!
