Giving and Donating

So now that you have started to figure out how to use coupons to get cheap or free things I bet you are noticing your stock pile starting to grow. That stock pile is a good thing. In the Bible it says
In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has. Proverbs 21:20
And in the book of Genesis Joseph prepares a store house full of food for the famine he knew was coming. That Biblical stock pile fed Egypt for seven years!

Every community across our great nation has a place to stock pile food and house hold goods for those in need. They are run on a limited or non existent budget and rely on the donations and helping hand of others to operate on a day to day basis. When our economy suffers so do they. If a disaster natural or otherwise strikes they are some of the first on hand to offer help no matter what state the economy is in.

I would like to encourage you to give to your local food pantry or shelter. I know that giving can be very difficult and hard to do. You are building up your stock pile for your family to take care of them and yet here I am asking you to give some of that away. If you come across a great deal that provides you with a years worth of free soap or shampoo or perhaps a month worth of cereal for only .25 cents a box don't you think you can find that great deal again? Sales repeat themselves good coupons come back around trust me. So the next time you find that golden opportunity give a little back.

Those of us who take the time to share what we know about coupons and how to use them or where to use them are providing you with a service. We enjoy it or at least I do and it is what we have been called to do. Most of us ask nothing from you only your time, the time it takes you to read what we write or attend a class.

Consider this our pay.

I would like to challenge you to give one item a month that you get for free. Only one that is all I am asking if you want to give more I know it will be appreciated but all I am asking is one. One free floss, one free toothbrush, one free soap FREE all you are doing is taking the time to buy it at the same time you are buying everything else on your list, taking the time to clip the coupon and watch for the sale. It is really not that big of a deal just one small thing but it will make a huge difference to someone who was not able to get that one thing for their family.

For some giving comes naturally for others it has to be practiced if you are one of those people please give it a try you might like it!
